My party with Pets on the Green

  1. Today is my party.
  2. I chose which animals I want to come.
  3. Pets on the Green park outside.
  4. They bring the animals in trolleys.
  5. They put a mat on the floor.
  6. They put up their banner.
  7. They take the animals out of the trolleys.
  8. The animals will stay in their enclosures while the team place them into their spots.
  9. The Pets on the Green team looks after the animals.
  10. We all sit down in a circle around the mat.
  11. I clean my hands with hand sanitiser or a wipe, it's my choice.
  12. We then meet the animals one at a time.
  13. Some animals sit on the mat. Some sit in a basket.
  14. Some animals can sit on my arm or my lap.
  15. When it is my turn, I can hold an animal.
  16. I can stroke the animals with gentle hands.
  17. I do not have to hold an animal. I can just watch.
  18. If I feel worried, I can move away for a little while.
  19. I stay sitting down and use a quiet voice.
  20. My family and friends can take photos of me with the animals.
  21. I wash my hands again when I am finished.
  22. Everybody gets a sticker.
  23. I get a birthday card.
  24. Inside there is a Pets on the Green pen or keyring.
  25. Then the animals go back to their home.
  26. I had a lovely party.
