We looked at what animal handling providers across the UK actually charge. Here is how we sit against them — honestly
We get told both things. Some people think we’re expensive, some are surprised we’re not more. Usually that’s because there’s nothing obvious to compare against — animal experiences aren’t something most people price up more than once.
So here are the numbers.
Every price below was published by the provider themselves, on their own website or price list, and collected in August 2026. We’ve included the ones that come in cheaper than us as well as the ones that don’t, and we’ve said where somebody else might genuinely suit you better. Prices change, so do check before you decide.
A private hour with our animals, in a room with nobody else in it. Most places charge somewhere between £35 and £95 a head for something comparable — and part of that is often a zoo ticket you did not especially want.

One session matches our weekday rate, and it is half the length. What differs is the hour itself: the cheaper sessions here are single-species, ours covers the full mix — reptiles, mammals, birds and invertebrates in one sitting — and the room is yours alone.

Nobody here charges less than £250 for a mobile party of ten. Where the headline price is level, the difference shows up in what comes with it — ten species of your choosing, no premium for the big or unusual animals, and the first ten miles of travel included.
Per-mile charges of 50p to £1.90 are common elsewhere, and some providers add £125 for a larger animal. With us the first 10 miles are included, the bands are flat and published, and no animal costs extra — not the big ones, not the unusual ones.
If you want a full day out — animals plus a whole zoo or farm park to wander round afterwards — a larger attraction will give you more for the money than we can. We are a small place with a room full of animals and one family running it. That is the trade, and we would rather say so than have you find out on the day.
Figures published by each provider and collected in August 2026, listed lowest to highest. Durations vary a lot, so they are shown alongside the price — a fifteen minute tortoise encounter and a full hour with a mixed collection are different things. Prices change; please check with the provider before deciding.
