“It seems to me that the natural world is the greatest source of excitement; the greatest source of visual beauty; the greatest source of intellectual interest. It is the greatest source of so much in life that makes life worth living

At Pets on the Green, it’s never just about “seeing” animals – it’s about truly experiencing them.

I am excited to launch my animal handling experience business. A limited company that is VAT registered, Animal Activity Licensed (Tandridge Council 014153), DBS checked, and fully insured, to share my love of animals with the community.

🐾 Every session is private and bookable, so you won’t be lost in a crowd.

💚 Our animals live happily with us in our home, cared for every day.

👩‍🦰 Ciera’s inspiring story (read here) means every experience is shaped with patience, understanding, and love – especially for SEN families.

How do I reserve a session and pay?

All bookings must be made and paid for through the website. This ensures your slot is confirmed and helps avoid any manual errors. Unfortunately, I’m unable to take bookings over the phone, as in the past, unpaid bookings have led to no-shows, which takes away availability from others. Thank you for your understanding!

What is the cancellation policy

We understand that plans can change, and we aim to be as accommodating as possible. However, due to the preparation, limited availability and the scheduling required for our animal handling experiences, the following terms apply:

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours of your scheduled booking
    • No refunds will be issued.
  • Cancellations less than 1 week before your scheduled booking You may choose to either:
    • Reschedule to another available date at no additional cost, or
    • Receive a 50% refund of the booking fee.
  • 7 days or more before your booking: A full refund will be issued.

If you wish to reschedule, please contact us at the earliest opportunity to confirm availability.

By confirming a booking with Pets on the Green, you agree to the terms of this cancellation policy.

We will always be as accommodating as we can on providing refunds, but a cancelled slot can affect others booking. Thanks for understanding.

Is it cheaper for Special Education Needs children and carers

Yes, we do offer a reduced rate per person for SEN children or adults, as well as their accompanying carers. I aim to keep our prices as affordable as possible to ensure the experience is accessible to everyone. To help sustain this, we kindly ask that all attendees, including carers, are included in the booking and paid for — we’re not able to offer free entry.

Private Animal Experiences

What animals can you see at a private event?

At private events hosted at our home in Warlingham, you can meet a variety of fascinating animals including mammals such as sugar gliders and African pygmy hedgehogs; reptiles like leopard geckos, crested geckos, multiple types of chameleons, a bearded dragon, an Aldabra tortoise, turtles and terrapins, and a New Caledonia giant gecko (Leachianus); and birds including our young Lutino Cockatiel parrot and quail, along with invertebrates like our African land snail.

How many people at a time?

There is a minimum of 2 people and maximum of 10 (so 9 additional people you can add when booking). If you would like to add more people message me privately on 07748656269 and I will book you a slot of your choice

Can I just pay for the people participating ie my kids?

No unfortunately all people that attend have to pay whether they choose to interact or not. Anyone under 18 needs an adult to come with them and the adult must accompany them at all times. Please note there must be at least 1 adult (over 18) in the session.

Public Animal Experiences

What animals can you see at a private event?

For public events, we bring animals that are fully trained, friendly and travel-ready, including sugar gliders, African pygmy hedgehogs, leopard geckos, crested geckos, chameleons, a bearded dragon, Aldabra tortoise, African land snail, turtles, New Caledonia giant gecko;

Note: Our quail, parrot, and iguana currently stay at home as they are not suitable for travel and public events.

Are there travel costs?

Please provide the address when you book. Please bear in mind anything after 10 miles will incur an additional charge for transport.

Do I need to get anything ready before the visit?

Please set up a safe, enclosed space for the session. Please keep any dogs or cats in another room while the animals are out. Please also be aware they are animals and they can be a little messy, I endeavour to keep the area clean but accidents can happen.
