Hi everyone I’m away on holiday currently and will be back with you on the 27th.

There are no sessions or bookings running while I’m away and I’m not open for visitors. The house and the animals are covered the whole time with staff and friends living on site doing feeds, cleaning, checks and keeping an eye on the place. It’s never left to itself.

If you message me I’ll reply when I can, but if you don’t hear back please don’t worry – I’ll pick everything up from the 27th and nothing gets forgotten.

The website’s still open too, so do book in for a date after I’m home.

Gigi’s joeys let go of her teat yesterday… which means they’re officially OOP (Out Of Pouch)! 🥹🩷

Sugar glider reproduction is honestly incredible. As marsupials, their pregnancy in the womb is only about 16 days, and the tiny joeys are born incredibly underdeveloped. They crawl into mum’s pouch and attach to a teat, which swells inside their mouth to keep them securely attached while they continue developing for roughly 70 days.

In the sugar glider world we usually track them as IP (In Pouch) and OOP (Out Of Pouch) – so the day they detach from the teat is considered their official “birthday.”
