Support Animal Therapy – Help me change lives!

At my animal encounter experience, I promote the incredible bond between humans and animals to help with mental health and well-being. These types of programs have been shown to significantly reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, providing comfort and support to those that need it most.

Your support is vital in sustaining and ensuring that I can continue to provide life changing experiences for my clients. To keep my therapy accessible for everyone, especially those with limited finacial resources, your donations are crucial.

While I strive to maintain low prices, the costs associated with caring for the animals as well as necessary licensing and insurance, are substantial. Therefor running this program can be a financial challenge, and every donation directly supports the care of these animals.

A unique experience:

I offer private animal handling experiences, home visits, parties, retirement homes, events, fairs, schools, and special occasion’s. Unlike typical animal encounters, I prioritise individualised attention, ensuring each participant enjoys a meaningful interaction without the rush often found in larger settings. I aim to educate and share my extensive knowledge gained through my studies in animal management and years of experience in the animal care industry. This is very beneficial to SEN people as their will not be a crowd and they can have 1-1 attention.

My Story :

My name is Ciera O’Rourke, and i’m an 18 year old girl with a strong passion for animals. I have successfully completed level 1 and level 2 studies in animal care, maintaining distinctions in each category. My hands on experience includes working at a dog grooming salon, exotic specialist, kennels and cattery, and a pet store, all of which has enriched my understanding of animal care. My growth in pets began near covid lockdown where my mum said i could have a goldfish …

I left mainstream secondary school in year 9 and in year 10 then started a 14-16 unit at nescot college where i received a 1-1 teacher. I had regular animal therapy sessions as this was the only thing that interested me however i found it was mostly only equine. At 16 years old i then started mainstream college however i still received. 1-1 teacher and did not attend the classrooms. Overtime my friends convinced me to go in the classrooms and since i did i never needed a 1-1 teacher again. I finished that college year doing animal management level 1 where in September i then started my level 2. During level 2 I even passed my driving test first time with zero faults, this was a very big achievement for me. Im now starting my own business and i am very confident in what i do as-well as being good with young children and also having the understanding of people who may need extra support.
